What is a Harvest Crusade - it is a large-scale Christian evangelistic outreach event around the United States and in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand
to hear the life-changing message of the gospel along with music from popular Christian bands.  The cornerstone of each event is the presentation of the gospel by Pastor Greg Laurie, providing an opportunity for people to make a decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

This year, I'm looking forward to seeing Jars of Clay, Lincoln Brewster, Chris Tomlin and of course, to hearing Pastor Greg :-).

I remember my first Harvest Crusade (around 1993/1994) - our family was regularly going to church, but I hadn't yet made the decision to follow Jesus.  It was a huge event, thousands of people at Angel Stadium - great music concert.  Then Pastor Greg took the podium and told me the story of Jesus - in a way that was surprisingly very understandable.  At the end of his message he gave an invitation for those who wanted to accept Jesus as their as Lord and Savior.  I remember my Mom and Dad looking at me, wondering if I was going to make such a decision.  No way Jose, not right now - but I remember streams of people coming down the aisle and going on to the field with tears in their eyes. On the drive home, that got me thinking ... thinking about what am I doing here?  why am I here?  Where am I going and what happens when I die?  Those were some heavy questions for 14 year old.

My interest was piqued - to know more about this man Jesus from Nazareth.  And thus began my journey to examine the evidence for Christ, to follow the clues and to discover the "truth".
