Mechelle is a 'MOP'
- By Mechelle on December 21st, 2011
Say what? I had first heard about a group called MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) back in Oceanside while I was working fulltime. I had no idea what this group did or what it meant at all. Once we moved, I was now a new stay-at-home mom in a new town and I knew I needed to reach out and meet other moms. So the first thing I did was look for a local MOPS group. Little did I know what an impact this group would have on me. I went to my first meeting in February and was amazed and excited about this new adventure. I have met a lot of moms there like me, dealing with the same challenges, triumphs and frustrations of raising young children – I was hooked! Not only have I met some amazing women but I have become a much better Mom. I have also been volunteering with the group for almost six months now as their PR/ Fundraising Coordinator. I highly recommend this group to every mom and would love to share my experiences. To learn more about MOPS, please visit http://www.mops.org.
