
Jerome and I had a chance to attend a Christmas concert at our church and heard a beautiful song with the lyrics, “Peace on Earth, The Promised One has come. Our God, Emmanuel.” The lyrics made me think about why we celebrate Christmas and why we buy gifts for those we love.
Say what? I had first heard about a group called MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) back in Oceanside while I was working fulltime. I had no idea what this group did or what it meant at all. Once we moved, I was now a new stay-at-home mom in a new town and I knew I needed to reach out and meet other moms.
In the immortal words of Quincy, on one of Sophia's favorite cartoons - Little Einsteins, "I ... can ... not ... be ... LIEVE ... it!" Sophia's 4th birthday is just around corner.
Today at Harvest Christian Fellowship, I got to meet Christian pop singer, Britt Nicole, while Mechelle got to say "Hello" to Pastor Greg Laurie. Read on to check out her performance via webcast. All in all, not a bad day for meeting two famous people ;-).
Picked up not one, but two Harvest Crusade 2011 Bumper Stickers over the weekend. "Why two?" ... Well this year, Harvest will be hosting two crusades in Southern California. The first, in August at Angel Stadium and then the second, in September at Dodger Stadium. On the performance roster this year that I'm looking forward to seeing are Lincoln Brewster, Jars of Clay, The Katinas, and Chris Tomlin - whoo hoo!
